Review: Naming Domain Fundamentals
A New Principle
In naming the frameworks, we have worked within an emerging conceptualization of the Taxonomy.
» that specifies theThe focus so far has been on naming within Domain Fundamentals, which refers to a triplet of structures derived from the Domain's 7 taxonomic elements. The triplet consists of the following:
- the Domain Vehicle defined by the initial Hierarchy Trees (-H•K)
- the Domain Effect which is required by the Primal Need associated with each Domain, and which depends on the Structural Hierarchy (-sH) and its components.
- the Domain Field defined by the final Structural Hierarchy Tree (-sH•K). The Field uses the components and allows operation of the vehicle.
A naming system has been developed for these fundamentals based on the context-content internal duality that characterizes all Trees. (See explanation.) The resulting names appear to be meaningful and useful.
The appropriateness and significance of the names are derived from the Centres in the respective parts of the Tree (rather than the specific terms in the iD). The Table below shows suggested names together with the internal dualities that have been developed to date for the Domain Fundamentals.
Note that the names embody an ethical aspiration i.e. they are what is requisite.
Naming of Trees within the Domain Controls, Ethical Controls and Q-expansions) is handled differently and will be systematized in later sections.
